St Mellion is the nearest, just five minutes drive away. St Mellion is rated in the top four of Today’s Golfers resort list, and offers three different golf courses – the top rated and internationally famous Jack Nicklaus Signature Golf Course, the Kernow Golf Course, redeveloped and relaunched in June 2010, and the little Short Course which is ideal for all the family to play, and offers hourly slots with all you need.

If there are non-golfers in your party, St Mellion also has three swimming pools, a health club and spa, and offers weekly memberships and ‘spa days’.

China Fleet Golf & Country Club Set in a stunning spot on the banks of the river Tamar near Saltash the China Fleet has a driving range as well as the well-reviewed par 72, 18-hole course. The Club also has a spa, gym, swimming pool and tennis, badminton & squash courts.

Tavistock Golf Club – this moorland course is just outside the small town of Tavistock within the boundaries of Dartmoor National Park, and offers wide fairways and sweeping vistas of Dartmoor, as well as the occasional pony on the course. Tavistock offers discounted ‘twilight’ golf evenings – enjoy the evening light on the moors as you play!

Okehampton Golf Club This friendly course was founded in 1913 and is set among quiet woodlands with the West Okement river running alongside, with home cooked food and St Austell beer at the clubhouse.

Looe Golf Club The course was designed by six times Open champion, Harry Vardon, and is set on an open hillside (look out for gusts of wind!) between Dartmoor, Bodmin Moor and the sea, with amazing views to the distant moors and sea.

Launceston Golf Club About 20 minutes from Bell Cottage just North of Launceston, this well established 6385 yard par 70 parkland course welcomes visiting golfers and is handy for the A30 if you fancy a last round before driving home.
